Producer / Filmmaker

Filmmaker Mark Fraser first met Martin Litton as he boarded Litton’s 1952 Cessna 195 bound for Idaho’s Salmon River. Litton was 89 years old at the time. Fraser immediately realized Litton was unique and as the trip unfolded decided to make a documentary about his lifes accomplishments. The first film, ‘Among the Giant Sequoias with Martin Litton’ was selected and given to members of Congress to expose the illegal logging from the U.S. Forest Service in The Giant Sequioa National Monument.

A year later, “The Good Fight” premiered at Mountain Film in Telluride and won the River & Conservation award. Another version of the film was showcased on the PBS series ‘Natural Heroes’. Fraser now wants to produce a feature length film to promote Litton’s life long conservation accomplishments.

Other films by Fraser include: Adventures in Arctic Svalbard 2008, Galapagos Adventure 2009 and Among the Great Mountains of Nepal 2010. He is a longtime resident of Bolinas California, and enjoyed a long career as a still photographer until he discovered filmmaking. Fraser has never looked back.
